What this editor is for
Use FormatWiz when you need to drop in extra text labels, highlight a clause, add a simple shape, or place a signature block on a form. The editor runs locally, which suits NDAs, offer letters, and school forms you do not want on a random upload server.
Heavy layout work—multi-spread magazines or precise print imposition—is still better in desktop publishing software; treat this tool as lightweight markup.
Suggested workflow
Duplicate the original PDF on disk before editing so you can revert. Load the copy, make annotations, download the result, and spot-check in your default PDF viewer. Zoom to 100% to verify text alignment on printed page sizes.
Fonts and fidelity
PDFs embed subsets of fonts. If a font is not licensed for embedding, some viewers substitute alternatives. After editing, scan headings and numbers for reflow issues, especially in tables and invoices.
Accessibility reminder
When you add text, ensure contrast remains sufficient and that reading order still makes sense for screen-reader users. Flatten complex annotations before sending to partners who open files on mobile devices.
