When merging PDFs is the right move
Teams merge PDFs to send one attachment instead of many, to keep invoices and receipts in sequence, and to archive related pages in a single file. FormatWiz runs the merge in your browser so contracts and HR packets are not uploaded to a third-party server.
Use merging when every source file is meant to be read as one continuous document. If you only need a few pages from each file, consider splitting first, then merging the exports.
Workflow tips for clean combined files
Arrange files in the same order you want readers to scroll: cover letter first, then statement of work, then appendices. If page sizes differ, most viewers still display them; for print, you may want to normalize page size in a desktop layout tool before merging.
Rename files on disk before upload so the thumbnail list matches your mental model—especially when merging twenty-plus attachments.
Limits you should know
Because processing is local, available RAM sets the practical ceiling. Very large construction drawings or print-ready portfolios can exceed what a mobile browser can hold in memory; use a desktop session for those jobs.
Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked (with a password you are allowed to use) before they can be merged with other content.
Privacy and retention
We do not store merged output on our servers. When you close the tab, the working copy stays only in your device memory until the browser clears it. Clear downloads if you are on a shared computer.
